Keady Star
Keady Star is Ireland's newest and most exciting young Irish born Coloured Stallion. DNA proven to be positive for the colour and black gene, Keady Star is "Double Homozygous" which means that he will always sire coloured foals and will not sire chestnut and white progeny. Standing 16.2 hh and 4 years old, Keady Star's pedigree is impeccable and really steeped in performance genetics. The renowned Piebald Stallions "Goshka Ringo", "Apache Warrior" and "King" all feature along with "Olympic Ferro" the olympic silver medallist, "Puriso" sire of the three olympic sons, "Furioso II" the internationally acclaimed jumping sire and "Ard Allez Cat" the great thoroughbred Irish grade A show jumping stallion, are all there in the pedigree.
Keady Star is a tall, beautifully marked horse with two "dark eyes", along with the combination of faultless movement and confirmation to compare, all of which would be expected from his superb pedigree. Produced by Shannondale Stud in Co. Now standing at Drumhowan stud, Ireland's home of premier coloured stallions, Keady Star will prove to be an outstanding stable-mate to the top piebald stallion "Cavalier Two For Joy", the showjumping piebald stallion, "Basil Masterpiece" and the homozygous american performance stallion "QT JAZZMAN".
Keady Star is currently the only Irish born "Double Homozygous" stallion registered with The IPSA.
